No, you do not. We take care of everything at our end and your switch will be seamless!
While we would love to start serving you at the instant you enroll, it does take between 1 to 5 business days if you are enrolling in a new location. If you're switching from another provider, your service with us will begin in less than 10 business days after you sign up. However, you can always request a specific start date for your electric service to commence and we make it happen on that date. In the event that you need to pay a deposit or provide a valid ID, please note that the enrollment and switch may be delayed. We are here to answer any questions you have in the meantime.
No, absolutely not! Since your electricity will continue to be delivered by the same local wires and poles company (TDSP), there will be no interruption when you switch.
We make it easy and convenient for you to pay your bill – you can pay it by check, by bank debit, or by credit card (we accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover). If you would like to have one less thing to worry about, you can also set up automatic payments via credit card or by bank direct debit at no extra charge.
In the unlikely event that you cancel your contract before its term, you will be charged a termination fee. The details for this fee and situations that this fee does not apply can be found in your Terms of Service..
Based on your credit score (or if we have an issue verifying your identity), you may be notified during the enrollment process about a deposit requirement.
If you do need to pay a deposit, you can do so during the online enrollment process or by calling us at 1 (888) 699-0747 during normal business hours. Please call us to check if you are eligible for structured deposits under any program offered by the state.
Your online account (once you have created it) will provide you with the status of your enrollment. In the event that you do not wish to create your online account, you can call us at 1 (888) 699-0747 during normal business hours to get an update on your enrollment status.
